Who is responsible?

Jos van Gilst (hereafter: "I") is responsible for the processing of personal data via this website, josvangilst.nl. Questions about this policy or about your data? Email info@josvangilst.nl — you'll always get me personally.

Which data I process and why?

Via the contact form on this website I process the following data:

• Name — to address you in my response.
• Email address — to respond to your enquiry.
• Phone number — to follow up on your enquiry quickly and personally.
• Company name (optional) — to place your enquiry in the right context.
• Current website (optional) — to align your free design with it.
• Wishes for the design (optional) — such as colours, atmosphere and features you would like to see.
• Your message — the content of your question or enquiry.

I use this data exclusively to contact you about your enquiry and, if it leads to that, to prepare and carry out a quote and assignment. Legal basis: performance of a contract or — prior to that — legitimate interest (answering your enquiry).

Website analytics and advertising

This website uses the Google tag (Google Ads, conversion ID AW-18374716384). With it I measure how many visitors arrive at the site via my Google ads and how many of them submit the contact form. This measurement helps me spend my advertising budget responsibly. The Google tag only sets cookies and processes advertising data once you give consent via the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

The data processed in this context is technical in nature (such as device and browser information and the visited page address) and is processed by Google in accordance with their own privacy terms. I only use the measurement in aggregated form: I cannot and do not want to identify individual visitors.

Retention periods

I keep enquiries sent via the form in my email for as long as needed to follow up on your enquiry. If you become a client, I keep the assignment and invoice data for as long as the law requires (fiscal retention obligation: 7 years). If you do not become a client, I delete your enquiry no later than 1 year after the last contact.

Sharing with third parties

I never sell your data and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Only where technically necessary does data pass through reliable processors:

• Hosting (Strato) — the website and the form run on Strato servers in Europe.
• Email processing — enquiries reach me as email via my business mail.
• Google Ireland Ltd. — for the advertising conversion measurement described above.

Security

This website runs entirely over HTTPS and is technically secured against misuse of the form (including anti-spam, rate limits and strict security headers). What you send me truly stays between us.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability of your data, and you can object to processing. For that, send an email to info@josvangilst.nl. You also always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Changes

This privacy policy may be adjusted if the website or legislation changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
